My Statement on the Guilty Verdict

"We hold these truths to be self=evident, that all men are created equal." Equality before the law is the bedrock of America. Today the country lived up to that promise by showing that even the powerful and famous can face the consequences of law for their misdeeds.

As of today, it is official: Mike McCaul cannot live up to the principles that hold up our nation. He would rather support a convicted felon (and convicted of crimes carried out to lie to the American people) than lose power but keep his backbone.

Mike McCaul has made his choice.

I have made mine.

And in November, you will be able to make yours.

I can't do this without you.

This goes beyond one race now: winning here shows the country that being spineless and supporting a convicted felon will not be rewarded.

Every hour, every dollar, you can give helps me win this race.

Onwards to victory!
